This experience begins with a short 30-minute walk through the Central Pacific transitional forest. During the walk, you will observe the region’s unique flora and fauna. After the walk, the Chocolate Experience begins at Vista Los Sueños Adventure Park,where you will see the collection of international cacao varieties in the Central Pacific. You will learn about the different varieties of cacao, their ancestral history, and their impact on the global economy. The highlight of the experience allows you to taste the actual cocoa fruit before it is processed and participate in the chocolate-making process, including tasting various types of chocolate and mixing them with tropical fruits.
Additionally, you will learn about two of Costa Rica’s most traditional agricultural products: sugar cane and coffee. You will have direct contact with the plants and learn about their natural history. At the end of the experience, organic chocolate bars with different cocoa percentages and other cocoa products will be available for purchase.
